    Verified Client
    Hired Law firm 2018
I had a litigation case and was referred to this law firm through my legal insurance at work. Nichole Manning was the attorney who took the case. Not only did she fail to reply to the petition on time, she also failed to prepare an effective defense at the first hearing. Not knowing the facts, the judge granted the Temporary Restraining Order. I immediately fired her and Saraiya Law Firm and retained another competent attorney who was able to resolve the case successfully. They not only do not have the experience and competence to litigate but also are unprofessional by avoiding client calls and failing to explain their actions. I would stay away from this firm for any litigation where the results matter.

We dispute the entirety of this review. However, we are unable to provide details without breaching attorney-client privilege. It is very easy to disparage a law firm when you know there is no way for your words to be countered. We stand by the results we have achieved for our litigation clients. If a reader of this review is interested in the details of this case, we would suggest you read the court transcript of the proceedings to get the full, true facts.

How do I choose a lawyer?

Consider the following:

  • Comfort Level – Are you comfortable telling the lawyer personal information? Does the lawyer seem interested in solving your problem?
  • Credentials – How long has the lawyer been in practice? Has the lawyer worked on other cases similar to yours?
  • Cost – How are the lawyer's fees structured — hourly or flat fee? Can the lawyer estimate the cost of your case?
  • City – Is the lawyer's office conveniently located?

Not sure what questions to ask a lawyer?

Here are a few to get you started:

  • How long have you been in practice?
  • How many cases like mine have you handled?
  • How often do you settle cases out of court?
  • What are your fees and costs?
  • What are the next steps?

Want to check lawyer discipline?

It is always a good idea to research your lawyer prior to hiring. Every state has a disciplinary organization that monitors attorneys, their licenses, and consumer complaints. By researching lawyer discipline you can:

  • Ensure the attorney is currently licensed to practice in your state
  • Gain an understanding of his or her historical disciplinary record, if any.
  • Determine the seriousness of complaints/issues which could range from late bar fees to more serious issues requiring disciplinary action.
