Overview
Alex Nava was born in San Antonio, Texas. During his fifteen plus years of practice, first at Davis, Cedillo & Mendoza, Inc. and then as a Member of ANG (now doing business as A Nava & Glander Law Firm), Mr. Nava has focused on representing individuals and companies in first and third-party insurance matters, employment disputes, construction disputes, and tort and business disputes and litigation.
He attended grade school at Holy Spirit Catholic School and high school at Central Catholic High School, class of 1995. After high school, Mr. Nava played baseball for and received a B.A. in English and History from West Texas A&M University, in Canyon, Texas in 1999. In 2004, Mr. Nava received a J.D. from St. Mary’s School of Law and was admitted to the State Bar of Texas. Mr. Nava is licensed to practice law in Texas state courts, and in the federal courts of the Eastern District of Texas, Northern District of Texas, Southern District of Texas, Western District of Texas, and Fifth Circuit Court of Appeals.
Mr. Nava’s non-profit board service includes: Historic Design Review Commission, 2006 - 2009; Alamo Workforce Solutions Board, 2012 - 2015; and United Communities of San Antonio, 2009 - 2019. In addition, since 2006, Mr. Nava has served as a board member at Port San Antonio, where is currently the vice chair of the board of directors. In 2011, Mayor Julian Castro appointed Mr. Nava to serve as a co-chair of the Parks Committee for the City of San Antonio 2012 – 2017 Bond Program. Mr. Nava is fluent in Spanish and is or has been in the past a member of the following organizations: William S. Sessions American Inn of Court; State Bar of Texas; San Antonio Bar Association; San Antonio Young Lawyers Association; the Federal Bar Association; and a Fellow of the Texas Bar Foundation.
Away from the office, Mr. Nava enjoys spending time with his wife, Brenna, who is also an attorney working for Rackspace Hosting, Inc., and their three children, Isabella, Cydney, and Joseph.
