Mr. Christopher M. Woolfolk is a diligent attorney from Atlanta, Georgia.
Mr. Woolfolk holds a Juris Doctor from the University of Texas School of Law and a bachelor’s degree from the University of Kentucky, where he graduated magna cum laude.
During law school, Mr. Woolfolk performed legal research for attorneys in a variety of contexts, including private, state, and administrative. While clerking at the Travis County District Attorney’s Office, he drafted several motions and notices of intent and contributed to trial preparations, depositions, and a grand jury impaneling. He also clerked with the Lower Colorado River Authority’s Office of the General Counsel and Department of Regulatory Affairs, performing legal research and preparing legal memoranda in connection with public utility litigation, regulatory affairs, transmission line interconnection agreements, and internal legal guidance related to management of the lower Colorado River and Highland Lakes.
Mr. Woolfolk has also interned and clerked at various locations across Texas, excelling in research, organization, and communication. He has met with constituents and lobbyists on issues related to business, commerce, and natural resources. He has also researched and prepared memoranda, observed litigation, and assisted with general docket hearings. As legislative intern for the Office of Texas State Senator Royce West, Mr. Woolfolk carried out legal and legislative research for Senator West’s capitol office, discussed policy proposals with activists and lobbyists, assisted with initiating and filing legislation and analyzing bills referred to the Natural Resources and Economic Development committee, the Agriculture, Water, and Rural Affairs committee, and the Business and Commerce committee. He also assisted with speech writing, summarized committee hearing testimony, and drafted questions for use in the committee meetings and on the Senate floor.
Prior to joining our San Antonio law office, Mr. Christopher worked at the City of Austin Law Department, where he performed legal research under the direction of city attorneys and executed tasks related to general litigation, municipal operations, land use, utility and regulator issues, and matters related to compliance with open government requirements.
