Jason prosecuted some of the most serious intoxication offenses in Texas, including intoxication manslaughter, intoxication assault, and fatal crash investigations. He also trained law enforcement officers and prosecutors on how these cases are investigated and tried. Today he applies that insider knowledge to scrutinize every aspect of the government's investigation for individuals facing DWI and intoxication-related charges throughout South Texas.

Jason spent years prosecuting serious felony offenses in the Criminal Trial Division, where he handled a broad range of cases including aggravated robbery, aggravated assault, murder, organized criminal activity, weapons offenses, and repeat felony offenders. Trial prosecutors are responsible for evaluating evidence, interviewing witnesses, negotiating resolutions, and trying cases before juries when necessary. That experience gave Jason firsthand insight into how prosecutors assess the strengths and weaknesses of a case, when they are willing to negotiate, and what persuades juries in the courtroom. Today, he uses that knowledge to build strategic defenses for clients facing serious felony charges.

Jason also prosecuted a wide range of felony drug offenses involving controlled substances, narcotics investigations, search warrants, confidential informants, and undercover operations. Through that experience, he developed an understanding of how narcotics investigations are conducted, how evidence is collected, and where constitutional violations can occur. Today, he carefully examines every search, seizure, warrant, and police investigation to protect his clients' constitutional rights and challenge unlawfully obtained evidence whenever possible.

As the supervising prosecutor for a District Court Family Violence docket, Jason oversaw hundreds of serious felony cases involving domestic violence, child abuse, sexual assault, other sex crimes, and homicide. Managing a docket of approximately 250 active felony cases gave him firsthand insight into how prosecutors evaluate evidence, assess witnesses, and prepare cases for trial. That experience taught Jason that allegations alone do not determine the outcome of a case. Credibility, thorough investigation, and careful trial preparation often make the difference between conviction and acquittal.
