Attorney Information
Overview
My legal career began in the fall of 2018 after graduating from St. Mary’s Law School that spring and completing the Texas Bar Exam at the first available opportunity. I immediately began working as a criminal defense attorney, representing indigent clients charged with crimes. Shortly thereafter the newly elected District Attorney of Bexar County called and personally invited me to join his office. From January 2019 until August 2024, I represented the State of Texas in numerous criminal cases at a time when the Bexar County DA’s office struggled with unprecedented staffing shortages and an enormous backlog of cases due to the pandemic delaying in-person trials. During my time as an Assistant District Attorney I was assigned to multiple divisions, including but not limited to misdemeanor trial, felony intake, civil rights, felony family violence trial, and felony criminal trial division. I participated in or took the lead role in dozens of trials, some of which were against defendants charged with first degree felonies.
I was born in San Antonio and have lived in South Texas my entire life. My first job title was ranch hand. Between high school and college summers I worked on multiple cattle ranches, and I would estimate I’ve spent well over 1,000 hours running a chainsaw in the heat. I know the value of a strong back, that’s how I know that no amount of money will ever fully compensate our clients after a serious injury. When I meet with clients, I let them know the limits of my representation, we can never guarantee you your life quality from before the accident, but we can guarantee that we will leave no stone unturned when it comes to securing the largest possible settlement in each case. I’ve acquired the skills to successfully bring a case to trial and I understand how to frame even minor injuries to other people to make them understand how a person’s life may be permanently changed. As a firm, where we go one, we go all. Any client at the Law Offices of Tyler and Peery is represented not just by the lead attorney on their case but by the entire staff and all five attorneys. We excel at expanding our individual specialties and working together as a team. I’m proud to be a part of a firm that has not only achieved great results for injured clients over the past 34 years but has built a legacy doing so, known for treating people with respect and always having our client’s back. I look forward to continuing this legacy. If you have been injured due to someone else’s negligence, whether it be on the road, in the workplace or a dangerous premise, I will get to work on you case immediately to insure you receive every ounce of compensation you are entitled to.

How do I choose a lawyer?
Consider the following:
- Comfort Level – Are you comfortable telling the lawyer personal information? Does the lawyer seem interested in solving your problem?
- Credentials – How long has the lawyer been in practice? Has the lawyer worked on other cases similar to yours?
- Cost – How are the lawyer's fees structured — hourly or flat fee? Can the lawyer estimate the cost of your case?
- City – Is the lawyer's office conveniently located?
Not sure what questions to ask a lawyer?
Here are a few to get you started:
- How long have you been in practice?
- How many cases like mine have you handled?
- How often do you settle cases out of court?
- What are your fees and costs?
- What are the next steps?
Want to check lawyer discipline?
It is always a good idea to research your lawyer prior to hiring. Every state has a disciplinary organization that monitors attorneys, their licenses, and consumer complaints. By researching lawyer discipline you can:
- Ensure the attorney is currently licensed to practice in your state
- Gain an understanding of his or her historical disciplinary record, if any.
- Determine the seriousness of complaints/issues which could range from late bar fees to more serious issues requiring disciplinary action.
