Overview
Marissa Barrera Morales has been practicing law since 2005 and has a wide-ranging experience in criminal law, family law and probate law. Prior to joining the Morales Law Firm, Mrs. Morales was a prosecutor for the Bexar County District Attorney’s Office. As a prosecutor, Mrs. Morales tried over thirty jury trials including DWI, theft and Interference with Public Duties. Mrs. Morales left the District Attorney’s Office in May of 2008 to begin private practice. In private practice Mrs. Morales served as co-counsel on a murder case in which a jury acquitted the defendant of murder and found in favor of the lesser charge of Aggravated Manslaughter. Mrs. Morales has also been successful in DWI jury trials and continues to fight for her client’s rights in the following areas practice areas: Divorce, Child Custody, Child Support, Contempt, and Adoption and CPS cases. Mrs. Morales also handles Guardianships, Heirships, Administration of Estates and Probates Wills.
Prior to attending law school, Mrs. Morales was a credit analyst for Comerica Bank in the Real Estate Lending Department. Mrs. Morales graduated from Baylor Law School in February of 2005. After law school, Mrs. Morales served as a law clerk to the Honorable Barbara Hervey of the Texas Court of Criminal Appeals.
