Shanna L. Cronin - San Antonio, TX

Shanna Cronin is a veteran trial attorney and former Army Judge Advocate with more than 20 years of litigation, leadership, and courtroom experience. Her practice includes personal injury litigation, complex trial strategy, criminal law, military law, and administrative law.

Born in Frankfurt, Germany to an Army officer, Ms. Cronin spent much of her childhood moving between duty stations before her family ultimately settled in the United States. At 17, she earned an Army ROTC scholarship and followed in her father’s footsteps by joining the Army. After receiving an educational delay to attend law school, she entered the Army Judge Advocate General’s Corps immediately following graduation and went on to build a distinguished legal career spanning two decades.

During her military service, Ms. Cronin served as legal counsel to both two-star and three-star commanders and held leadership positions overseeing major legal operations across the country. She was selected as Chief Special Victim Prosecutor for multiple Army installations throughout Texas, New Mexico, and Arizona, where she supervised the prosecution of sexual assault, domestic violence, child abuse, and homicide cases.

An accomplished litigator, Ms. Cronin tried 109 federal and state cases during her career and secured favorable verdicts in 99 of them. Her experience handling high-stakes and emotionally complex litigation has shaped her disciplined, detail-oriented, and client-focused approach to advocacy.

Prior to joining Thomas J. Henry Law, Ms. Cronin served in multiple senior legal leadership roles within the U.S. Army Judge Advocate General’s Corps, including Deputy Staff Judge Advocate and Special Assistant United States Attorney. In these roles, she advised senior military leadership on complex regulatory, constitutional, employment, and litigation matters while supervising large legal teams and managing significant organizational risk.

Ms. Cronin earned her Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and Philosophy from Saint Mary’s College, her Juris Doctor from Marquette University Law School, and her LL.M. in Criminal Law from The Judge Advocate General’s Legal Center and School.

She is licensed to practice law in Texas and Wisconsin and is admitted before multiple federal courts, including the Supreme Court of the United States.

Outside of her legal practice, Ms. Cronin is deeply involved in advocacy efforts supporting the Down syndrome community. Her younger son has Down syndrome, and she actively participates in the National Down Syndrome Society Athletic Ambassadors program, including twice completing a 250-mile race to raise awareness and support for the organization. She and her husband are the proud parents of two boys, and much of her free time is spent at the baseball field supporting her sons and helping with her younger son’s team. She also enjoys spending time with her family and their two dogs.
