Unfortunately what I have found is that if you have a contested divorce involving children, one with special needs that it is very difficult to find an attorney that has the skills and experience to address those very different needs properly. Before Lisa Vance, I had four attorneys that had the highest of ratings on the various attorney referral websites but their legal services were on the verge of being unethical and definitely were unsatisfactory, due to their inability to comply with the basic ethical standard of their duty to inform and defend their client's legal rights and options. My legal rights/needs not being addressed by my previous attorneys for just a few months had ramifications that I could have never dreamed of. I was finally given Lisa Vance's name because I begged someone in the legal profession for the name of an attorney that could not only stand up to my ex-husband's attorney but would think outside of the box in looking at what legal options I had available to address the best interests of my sons and I. Lisa is not a cookie-cutter attorney, she knows the law inside and out but that is not what's most impressive about her, it is her experience. The combination of her education and experience, along with her passion for justice, has allowed me to feel safe with an attorney for the first time, knowing that my sons and I rights will be protected.
