Overview

Paul Rorie is a Partner with extensive experience representing individuals and businesses in a wide range of civil matters. His practice focuses on insurance defense litigation, including motor vehicle and trucking accidents, workplace injuries, oilfield-related claims, premises liability, and construction disputes. Prior to joining GKBK, Paul served as trial counsel for a major insurance carrier, where he developed a strong foundation in defense strategy and risk management. He has been practicing law since 2008.

Paul is deeply committed to serving both his clients and his community. A member of Rotary of The Woodlands, he exemplifies the organization’s motto of “Service Above Self” by organizing volunteer teams for events such as The Woodlands Family YMCA Dragon Boat Races and Interfaith of The Woodlands Senior Holiday Giving Lunch.

A proud alumnus of Jesuit institutions including Loyola High School of Los Angeles and Santa Clara University Paul is guided by the Jesuit principle of being “a man for others.” As chair of the Community Outreach and Pro Bono Committee of his hometown bar association, he provided free legal assistance to more than a thousand self-represented litigants.

In addition to his legal work, Paul has shared his knowledge by teaching courses in business law, contracts, and torts at the collegiate level, and has served as a substitute teacher in Conroe ISD, reflecting his dedication to education and mentorship.

Paul previously lived and worked in Saudi Arabia, drafting contracts for the development of a city in support of the East-West oil pipeline. His international experience has fueled a lasting interest in learning about different cultures and countries around the world.

Paul and his wife, Melanie, reside in The Woodlands with their son, Logan.
