Prior to joining Shore Chan Bragalone DePumpo, Mr. Rafilson was President of The Rafilson Law Firm, PLLC where he managed litigation efforts in several high-profile software-related patent cases for various patent assignees. Previously, Mr. Rafilson was an associate at Sidley Austin LLP, where he specialized in IP litigation in various areas including a trademark opposition proceeding. Mr. Rafilson also specialized in patent prosecution for various technologies including optics, software, and mechanical devices. As a law student, Mr. Rafilson was the Journal Affairs Director for the SMU Computer Law Review and Technology Journal. His case note "Microsoft Liable for Patent Infringement of Software Installed Overseas" was published in that journal in 2006. Prior to law school, Mr. Rafilson worked extensively in the Information Systems arena as an Instructor, Systems Integrator, Consultant, and Project Manager.
