Overview
JENNIFER FRASER PARRISH is licensed to practice law in Utah and before the United States Patent and Trademark Office. Ms. Parrish is also licensed to practice in the United States Supreme Court, as well as the Second, Ninth, Tenth, and Eleventh United States Circuit Courts of Appeal and the United States Court of Appeal for the Federal Circuit.
Ms. Parrish's practice spans all areas of complex civil and commercial law, with an emphasis on the protection of intellectual property. Ms. Parrish has extensive experience in litigating trade secret disputes. Ms. Parrish has also served as counsel in a number of high-profile Constitutional cases.
Prior to pursuing her career in law, Ms. Parrish acquired a broad range of business and technical skills. Ms. Parrish graduated with a degree in Biology and a minor in Chemistry from the University of Utah in 1996. After receiving her undergraduate degree, Ms. Parrish worked as a Programmer at Myriad Genetics, Inc., in Salt Lake City, Utah. In 2000, Ms. Parrish received an M.B.A. from the University of Utah and worked in the computer software industry until entering law school in 2003. Ms. Parrish received her J.D. with Honors from the University of Texas School of Law in Austin, Texas.
Ms. Parrish worked as a Summer Associate at Fenwick & West, LLP (Mountain View, California) and Beckley Singleton, Chtd. (Las Vegas, Nevada) before joining Magleby Cataxinos. As a student, she was also a summer extern for the Honorable Ronald E. Nehring of the Utah Supreme Court.
Ms. Parrish is AV rated by Martindale-Hubbell, the highest peer review rating available for an attorney. In 2009, 2011, 2012, 2013, 2014, 2015, and 2016, Ms. Parrish was included on the list of Mountain States Rising Stars in Super Lawyers (TM), an honor given to only the top 2.5% of attorneys practicing in the Mountain States (Utah, Nevada, Montana, Idaho, and Wyoming) under the age of 40 or practicing law for less than 10 years.
