Hired Attorney 2025Trevor Terry is a complete waist of time! He took my husband's civil stalking case. He accepted the retaining fee and would not make time for any text messages, emails and in person consultations. On the day of court he showed up unprepared, he gave zero information on how he would be representing me. He is not a defense attorney! He discredited me in the court room openly. He physically assaulted me in the court room as well. He took it upon himself to represent my wife in a coinciding case without her knowledge and consent. He screwed up her two cases and acted like he did her a favor. He did not use any of the evidence provided and looked like a complete idiot in court. He excused me and my wife from the courtroom and made a deal with our stalkers without our consent and feedback. He enabled our neighbors who were stalking us to stalk us! He illegally gave our stalkers our location putting our safety as risk numerous times! When we discussed this with him he rescinded his services and then refused to refund me the full retainer. If you want a defense attorney that actually defends like a "shark" Trevor is NOT the one, he is a guppy! He then went so far as to "trespass me" from his office when I said that I could come into his office and pick up the check. Trevor Terry should not be an attorney. He is inadequate, unprofessional, dishonest and corrupt!

Hired Attorney 2024-2025Run far, far, far away from Trevor Terry! My wife and I hired Trevor to help us with a very delicate and complicated criminal case, and he took advantage of us at every single turn. He does not explain anything to you, he does not send you records of billing or what he has done in your case, he doesn’t communicate well and never answered our questions, he belittled us and told us that we didn’t have any other option besides the one he was forcing us to take. This was our first time ever hiring, a lawyer and being in the court system, and Trevor kept us in the dark about everything. We asked multiple multiple times to be able to see our Kase files and evidence from the police and he told us he didn’t have access to it. We found out later when we hired another attorney That he was in possession of our files the whole entire time and never shared them. I didn’t even want to give him the half star that I did, but there were no options for less than zero stars. He is reckless, dangerous, and should never have a license to practice law.

Consulted Attorney 2022-2025I wouldent be surprised if this dude got his degree online. Also he lets his personal opinion or beliefs dictate what he does or doesn't do with your case. i think he is just lazy 1/10 would not recommend. I already know he dosent have my best interest at heart. I have had him over 4 years it has been a real worthless waste of my time everytime i show up to court with him it feels like he really believes punishment is helping and when i act out he blames a made up mental disease instead of actually acknowledging that this treatment the government provides has cuased me immense suffering and pain and a decline in life quality i wouldent wish feeling any of it on anyone but the worst part is feeling like no ones ever been in your corner no one will take my case no one will fight for me but this dude and it feels like no body cares when he basically sides with the same people i am trying to fight.

Hired Attorney 2024Trevor was appointed as my public defender in a case to which I was falsely accused. I tried to talk to him and he did not want to listen to the details of the case and after a few minutes yelled and me, yelled “f” - you, and hung up on me. He now will not return messages and has not tried to apologize nor has he recused himself as my lawyer so I can get a different lawyer. He is highly judgemental, unprofessional and ruining my chances of being acquitted which could result in jail time for me. I am stuck with him being the only option for my public defender and he not cooperating. Do not use him! He will not help you. He even claims to be in recovery and involved with that community which I am apart of as an addiction counselor and stand to loose my ability to help people for quite awhile.

How do I choose a lawyer?
Consider the following:
- Comfort Level – Are you comfortable telling the lawyer personal information? Does the lawyer seem interested in solving your problem?
- Credentials – How long has the lawyer been in practice? Has the lawyer worked on other cases similar to yours?
- Cost – How are the lawyer's fees structured — hourly or flat fee? Can the lawyer estimate the cost of your case?
- City – Is the lawyer's office conveniently located?
Not sure what questions to ask a lawyer?
Here are a few to get you started:
- How long have you been in practice?
- How many cases like mine have you handled?
- How often do you settle cases out of court?
- What are your fees and costs?
- What are the next steps?
Want to check lawyer discipline?
It is always a good idea to research your lawyer prior to hiring. Every state has a disciplinary organization that monitors attorneys, their licenses, and consumer complaints. By researching lawyer discipline you can:
- Ensure the attorney is currently licensed to practice in your state
- Gain an understanding of his or her historical disciplinary record, if any.
- Determine the seriousness of complaints/issues which could range from late bar fees to more serious issues requiring disciplinary action.
