Jennifer Szakaly - Alexandria, VA

Jennifer Szakaly brings a distinctive interdisciplinary background in both law and health care to the firm. In addition to her legal practice, Jennifer is the owner and lead dentist of Isle of Wight Family and Cosmetic Dentistry, P.C., a role she has held since 2006. Her experience in the day-to-day clinical practice of dentistry provides her with invaluable insight into the dental anatomy, health care operations, current standards of practice, and other issues, strengthening her ability to represent injured patients in their professional negligence claims.

In 2023, Virginia Governor Glenn Youngkin appointed Jennifer to Virginia’s Board of Dentistry. She was confirmed by the Virginia Senate during the following legislative session. As a member of the Board of Dentistry, Jennifer has worked to set standards for the conduct of Virginia dentists, to ensure that competent dental care is being provided to Virginia’s dental patients, and to analyze and impose disciplinary action when appropriate standards are not being followed.

Jennifer is also an experienced educator. She has served as an Adjunct Clinical Professor at the Medical College of Virginia School of Dentistry, mentoring dental students in clinical settings and contributing to curriculum development. Her commitment to service has also been reflected in her long tenure on the Board of Directors for Court Appointed Special Advocates (CASA), where she served from 2009 to 2025.

Jennifer earned her Juris Doctor from Regent University School of Law and her Doctor of Dental Surgery from Virginia Commonwealth University. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Biology and English from The College of William and Mary.
