Attorney Information

Overview

Hope Rosen's practice has consistently centered on child and family law issues. After receiving her law degree, Ms. Rosen worked as a staff attorney for the American Prosecutors Research Institute, focusing on issues of juvenile delinquency and child abuse. Ms. Rosen left the American Prosecutors Research Institute when she was appointed Special Counsel for the Division of Child Support Enforcement by the Attorney General of Virginia. After building her expertise in child support law, Ms. Rosen expanded her family law practice to include matters of child custody and visitation, protective orders, spousal support and equitable distribution of marital assets and liabilities. In addition to Ms. Rosen's experience in litigation, she is also trained in collaborative law, which allows her to offer her skills in various approaches to dispute resolution.

Ms. Rosen received her Bachelor of Arts from the College of William and Mary and her Juris Doctor from the George Mason University School of Law. During her graduate work, she served as president of George Mason's trial advocacy team. Since she has been in practice, Ms. Rosen has been recognized by Super Lawyers as a rising star every year since 2009.

Ms. Rosen is a member of the Virginia State Bar, the Circuit Court Committee of the Fairfax Bar Association, Prince William County Bar Association, Virginia Women's Attorney Association, and the Virginia Trial Lawyers Association (VTLA). She has appeared in Juvenile and Domestic Relations District Courts and Circuit Courts throughout Northern Virginia, and she has appeared before the Virginia Court of Appeals in matters relating to child support, spousal support and equitable distribution. Ms. Rosen has been admitted to practice law in the Commonwealth of Virginia since 2002.

In her free time, Ms. Rosen volunteers her time as a conciliator for the Conciliation Program, which is a free service offered by the Fairfax Bar Association. She has also provided pro bono services for victims of domestic violence through the Civil Protection Order program offered by Legal Services of Northern Virginia.
