Overview

Debbie Mclntyre-Yurkovich is a founding partner of Mclntyre DeFede Law PLLC. Ms. Mclntyre has represented individuals in a variety of legal matters throughout Northern Virginia. Her clients benefit from her many years of experience in the legal field and the knowledge garnered from hundreds of prior cases and clients. As a parent, two of whom who has special needs, Ms. McIntyre understands the unique circumstances that present legally, economically, and emotionally to parents and their child(ren).

Ms. McIntyre is proud that many of her client referrals come from her many satisfied current and past clients. She is equally proud that she receives many referrals from opposing counsel, professional experts in the community, and former opposing parties.

Ms. McIntyre practices in the areas of family law, education (school) law, and adult guardianship law. She regularly appears in circuit and juvenile courts throughout Northern Virginia. She has extensive trial experience litigating complex equitable distribution tracing cases, relocation and international custody cases, protective order cases, abuse and neglect cases, and school law related matters. She also routinely represents individuals in school meetings and administrative proceedings, which include but are not limited to special education, in state tuition appeals, student discipline, and honor code violations. Ms. McIntyre also serves as counsel for those seeking guardianship and/or conservatorship of an incapacitated adult. She has also previously successfully represented hundreds of individuals charged with crimes ranging from misdemeanors to serious felonies.

Outside the practice of law, Ms. McIntyre has applied her skill set and background to previously serving as a School Board Member and Chair for Manassas Park City Schools.
