Overview
I am James I. Gilbert IV, and at my firm in Moneta, Virginia, I provide experienced legal assistance to clients with real estate, business and commercial law matters. Clients of Gilbert Law PC include individuals, real estate professionals, corporations, shareholders and entrepreneurs seeking counsel, advocacy and representation.
Every real estate transaction is a legal matter with many components and having a legal professional on the team can prevent a lien or zoning restriction from ruining the buyer's plans for the property. People come to my law firm when they are planning to purchase, sell or lease properties so that there are no unwelcome surprises after the contracts have been signed. I also help property owners with matters involving:

Knowledge of land use laws and familiarity with local governments allow me to identify property owners' rights regarding zoning restrictions, easements and other matters. At Gilbert Law PC, I practice business and commercial law, handling business formation, mergers and acquisitions, shareholder rights, commercial property issues and commercial transactions. I represent clients in business disputes, and my successes include an appeal before the Virginia Supreme Court.
