Ryan D. Huttar - Orlean, VA

Ryan brings an unconventional professional background and a broad range of courtroom experience to his practice. After earning his Bachelor of Science in Commerce from McIntire School of Commerce at the University of Virginia, he worked for several years on Wall Street in Mergers and Acquisitions. Ryan then left corporate finance and returned to Virginia to be near family while welcoming his son, Phineas, into the world.

Since leaving the corporate world, Ryan has made it his mission to help individuals and small businesses. He earned his Juris Doctor from Georgetown University Law Center and has since represented clients across many areas of the law -- from relatively small disputes and everyday legal issues to complex civil litigation and serious felonies, including murder. From his experience, Ryan knows that no two clients or cases are exactly alike, and he approaches each matter with the same focus on understanding the circumstances, developing a strategy, and advocating for his client.

Outside the courtroom, Ryan is competitive, creative, and community-oriented. He grew up playing lacrosse and now gives back to the sport by coaching youth teams in Prince William County -- continuing a tradition that has been part of his life for decades. Music has been another constant. Ryan has played drums for approximately 15 years and spent four years performing as the drummer for Eclectic Company out of Warrenton, Virginia. Those interests have followed him well beyond his younger years and reflect the same qualities he brings to his legal practice: preparation, discipline, adaptability, and knowing how to work as part of a team. Whether he is in the courtroom, on the lacrosse field, behind a drum kit, or working through a complicated legal problem, Ryan brings a straightforward, hands-on approach to everything he does. His goal as an attorney is ultimately a simple one: to give people thoughtful, effective representation while treating them like people rather than case numbers.
