Consulted Attorney 2020-2021Very sad when you need to take a company to court and the attorney is working from home. Many of us myself included are working from home due to covid. The problem is he doesn't want to adapt to the times we live in. According to the front desk receptionist the other attorneys allow the paralegals and legal assistant to accept service on their behalf. Why doesn't he do this? This has caused me to waste time and will cost him additional money that his client will have to pay. UNACCEPTABLE. And you expect me to pay additional money to schedule a date for you to be served. You are rude, arrogant and do not care about anyone. You even told me "You are not my client so I dont have to talk to you at all". I hope everyone who reads this does not use him as an attorney nor do business with this firm. And if you are attempting to sue someone and he is the registered agent have the company served directly. This is perfectly legal and happens all the time. And his company refuses to take any complaints against their attorneys.

How do I choose a lawyer?
Consider the following:
- Comfort Level – Are you comfortable telling the lawyer personal information? Does the lawyer seem interested in solving your problem?
- Credentials – How long has the lawyer been in practice? Has the lawyer worked on other cases similar to yours?
- Cost – How are the lawyer's fees structured — hourly or flat fee? Can the lawyer estimate the cost of your case?
- City – Is the lawyer's office conveniently located?
Not sure what questions to ask a lawyer?
Here are a few to get you started:
- How long have you been in practice?
- How many cases like mine have you handled?
- How often do you settle cases out of court?
- What are your fees and costs?
- What are the next steps?
Want to check lawyer discipline?
It is always a good idea to research your lawyer prior to hiring. Every state has a disciplinary organization that monitors attorneys, their licenses, and consumer complaints. By researching lawyer discipline you can:
- Ensure the attorney is currently licensed to practice in your state
- Gain an understanding of his or her historical disciplinary record, if any.
- Determine the seriousness of complaints/issues which could range from late bar fees to more serious issues requiring disciplinary action.
