Consulted Law firm 2025-2026Mr.Wells, was a great attorney he really didn't even discuss anything with me because he pretty much knew the outcome of my technical violation. But it worked out even better because the judge revoked my 3 year sentence and I was taken off probation early. Mr. Wells has a funny sense of humor and from observing he is well respected in the courtroom. So thank you Mr. Wells for representing and winning my case yesterday I highly recommend this attorney to anyone in the Richmond and Chesterfield area. He is the real deal.

Hired Law firm 2024I don’t know How to make this review as clear as possible, so I’ll just say this lawyer if he was court appointed by design only cases that he could get in court and you under a bus. Literally have any time at all to defend anyone Or he just doesn’t care

Hired Law firm 2024If you are a person of color I do not recommend this law office. If this ignorant, arrogant, self absorbed, Lawyer was assigned by a judge. Mr. Wells does not care about your case only his VACATION time. He will not respond back. He is never in his office nor answers his phone. He will not take the time to get to know his clients.

Consulted Law firm 2023Mr Wells was professional and extremely prepared. He presented the case to the judge in a strong and articulate manner. He did an excellent job of providing the facts while representing my son.

How do I choose a lawyer?
Consider the following:
- Comfort Level – Are you comfortable telling the lawyer personal information? Does the lawyer seem interested in solving your problem?
- Credentials – How long has the lawyer been in practice? Has the lawyer worked on other cases similar to yours?
- Cost – How are the lawyer's fees structured — hourly or flat fee? Can the lawyer estimate the cost of your case?
- City – Is the lawyer's office conveniently located?
Not sure what questions to ask a lawyer?
Here are a few to get you started:
- How long have you been in practice?
- How many cases like mine have you handled?
- How often do you settle cases out of court?
- What are your fees and costs?
- What are the next steps?
Want to check lawyer discipline?
It is always a good idea to research your lawyer prior to hiring. Every state has a disciplinary organization that monitors attorneys, their licenses, and consumer complaints. By researching lawyer discipline you can:
- Ensure the attorney is currently licensed to practice in your state
- Gain an understanding of his or her historical disciplinary record, if any.
- Determine the seriousness of complaints/issues which could range from late bar fees to more serious issues requiring disciplinary action.
