Overview

P. Brent Brown has been engaged in the practice of law since 1979. A Virginia native, he served as an officer in the U.S. Army from 1972 to 1976. He is a graduate of Old Dominion University and the Marshall-Wythe School of Law at the College of William and Mary, where he was admitted to the Order of the Coif, a recognition of high academic achievement. He has been repeatedly recognized in the publication "Best Lawyers" for his high caliber of work in the practice areas of Personal Injury Litigation - Plaintiffs and Product Liability Litigation - Plaintiffs.

Mr. Brown has undertaken and successfully resolved, by jury trial or otherwise, numerous cases of public interest with emphasis on products liability, collision liability, and civil prosecution of drunk drivers.

Mr. Brown was a founding Board Member of Brain Injury Services of Southwest Virginia and served as Board Chair of this organization as well. He also served as Board Chair of the Virginia Office for Protection and Advocacy, then an independent state agency of the Commonwealth of Virginia that advocated for the rights of people with disabilities. He is a member of the Board and has served as President of the Virginia Trial Lawyers Association.

Mr. Brown's role as "of Counsel" with Crandall & Katt leverages his extensive experience and leadership to work along with Attorney Stephen Huff in heading the Firm's Catastrophic Loss Section, as well as collaborating on cases throughout the Firm.
