Overview
Andy joined the firm in November, 2006 as a shareholder in our Prince William office. Prior to joining the firm, Andy was a partner with Redmon, Payton & Braswell in Alexandria where he concentrated his practice on real estate and general commercial matters, both from a transactional standpoint and in litigation and bankruptcy. Andy will focus on general commercial law including commercial transactions, bankruptcy, mergers and acquisitions and civil litigation. He has extensive experience in the Bankruptcy court in Alexandria and in litigating and arbitrating commercial cases in both federal and state courts, for both bench and jury trials.
Andy is a 1988 graduate of the United State Naval Academy and received an M.B.A. in 1995 from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute. Andy graduate from the University of Richmond, T.C. Williams School of Law in 1997 and was admitted to the Virginia Bar in 1997. Andy practices before the U.S. Bankruptcy Court, U.S. District Court, Eastern District of Virginia and U.S. Court of Appeals, Fourth Circuit.
Andy currently serves as the General Counsel to the Alexandria Chamber of Commerce and General Counsel for the Alexandria Small Business Development Center. Andy has recently been elected President of the Alexandria Bar Association and is a Commander in the Navy Reserve serving as the Commanding Officer of a submarine reserve unit in Norfolk.

Galaxy Computer Serv., Inc. v. Baker et al. (E.D. Va. 2005). Part of a multi-party defense team that successfully defended corporate officers in a multimillion-dollar business torts case before a jury in the Eastern District of Virginia.

Feddeman v. Langan & Associates, 530 S.E.2d 668 (Va. 2000). Part of a litigation team that won a $3.5 million jury verdict for breach of fiduciary duty and civil conspiracy to injure business. Had the jury verdict reinstated on appeal to the Virginia Supreme Court.
