Overview
Garth has been with WCLEW since 1999 and is a member of the firm’s Executive Committee. He came over as a partner from Hazel and Thomas PC, where he had practiced in litigation and business counseling for 17 years. Garth represents many local and regional businesses and is counsel to a number of non-profits and a private high school. His practice focuses on a wide range of commercial transactions and litigation with an emphasis on representing developers and contractors in real estate and asset-based workouts, along with construction law and business tort litigation in Virginia state and federal courts. Other areas of experience include structuring mergers and acquisitions, commercial lease drafting and negotiations, and counseling business clients through employment, corporate, and partnership disputes. Garth has served as lead counsel in several complex construction and commercial cases throughout the region.
