Verified ClientHired Attorney 2015Mr. Mulvaney exemplifies a professional, honest, knowledgeable and forthright example of what I expect from an attorney. Mr. Mulvaney established my trust in him by making logical and sound recommendations for my case, and that relieved me of the anxiety I was feeling regarding the case I was facing. He has remained someone on whom I feel I can rely for legal assistance and advice should I ever be in need of an attorney in the future. I highly recommend him and feel that he is someone on whom you can rely with confidence when a legal need arises.

Verified ClientHired Attorney 2008Chris is one of the hardest working attorneys I've ever met. He truly cares about his clients and always works to get them the best possible outcome, considering their individual circumstances. Chris has prepared estate plans for myself and my parents, and at an extremely reasonable rate. I have referred friends and family members to him over the years and they always have wonderful things to say about Chris. If you are considering an estate plan, bankruptcy or need general legal advice, don't hesitate to call Chris!

Verified ClientHired Attorney 2009Through out my dealings with Chris he always responded quickly and made me feel like I was top of his priority. He helped many of the people that I referd him to and even when my situation was complete, he assisted me on a last unexpected item because he is a compassionate person and values his buisness relationships as much as anyone I have ever met. A good reference for people n need and someone I will never hesitate to go back to if the need should arise.

Verified ClientHired Attorney 2008Like a lot of people, my mother had not gotten around to having her will drawn up. A few years ago when she was diagnosed with terminal cancer, my mother asked that we help her get this completed. Christopher Mulvaney was recommended to us and he agreed to meet my mother in her hospital room without any extra fees. That, in itself, made me instantly like him. When Chris entered the room I was surprised to see how tall he was. Even more surprising was how soft spoken and gentle he was for a man of his size. Chris met with my mother and got all of the needed information. He told her not to worry, he would take care of everything. Instead of leaving, Chris stayed around to talk with my mother. He stayed for awhile and even included my mother's roommate into the conversation. I don't know, maybe all attorneys work in this manner. What I do know is that Chris Mulvaney helped our whole family not worry about one thing and gave us more time to spend with our mother before she passed.

How do I choose a lawyer?
Consider the following:
- Comfort Level – Are you comfortable telling the lawyer personal information? Does the lawyer seem interested in solving your problem?
- Credentials – How long has the lawyer been in practice? Has the lawyer worked on other cases similar to yours?
- Cost – How are the lawyer's fees structured — hourly or flat fee? Can the lawyer estimate the cost of your case?
- City – Is the lawyer's office conveniently located?
Not sure what questions to ask a lawyer?
Here are a few to get you started:
- How long have you been in practice?
- How many cases like mine have you handled?
- How often do you settle cases out of court?
- What are your fees and costs?
- What are the next steps?
Want to check lawyer discipline?
It is always a good idea to research your lawyer prior to hiring. Every state has a disciplinary organization that monitors attorneys, their licenses, and consumer complaints. By researching lawyer discipline you can:
- Ensure the attorney is currently licensed to practice in your state
- Gain an understanding of his or her historical disciplinary record, if any.
- Determine the seriousness of complaints/issues which could range from late bar fees to more serious issues requiring disciplinary action.
