Attorney Information
Overview
Gail Nunn is a founding member of NVL, PLLC. At its birth, the firm was the first all women law firm in the county. Gail helped usher it into a firm that is now one of the most culturally and ethnically diverse. She practiced law in Everett, Washington beginning in 1987; devoting 100% of her practice to all aspects of family law, including dissolution, modifications, adoptions, and guardianships. She had a distinctive career serving on both the Snohomish County Superior Court and South District Court as both a judge pro tempore and commissioner pro tempore. Ms. Nunn was honored to be admitted as a fellow of the American Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers. She was active in a variety of Washington State Bar association committees. In addition, she was a board member and past board president of Snohomish County Bar Association and Domestic Violence Services of Snohomish County. She was deeply involved in the collaborative law movement, serving on the board and as past board president of Collaborative Professionals of Washington.
She won many awards and honors over the years including the Snohomish County Equal Access to Justice Award in 2000. She had two published appellate cases, and in 2017 successfully argued a domestic violence case before the Washington State Supreme Court (see Aiken v. Aiken, No. 92631-0, decided en banc, January 2017).
Ms. Nunn is now stepping away from her work life to enjoy travel, family, and other hobbies. She loved her coworkers, and the many men, women, and children she had the good fortune to help.
