Lisa Wood - Olympia, WA

Background

Lisa is a lifelong Washington resident, born and raised in the Gig Harbor area. Lisa first moved to Olympia to attend Saint Martin's University for her undergraduate degree and has resided in Thurston County ever since. As a Mexican American female, Lisa is fluent in both Spanish and English and enjoys using those abilities in both life and the practice of law.

Education & Experience

Lisa is a graduate from University of Washington School of Law (Juris Doctor 2021), and Saint Martin's University (B.A. Business Administration, 2018). Lisa is licensed to practice in Washington State. During law school, Lisa served as a member of the Washington International Law Journal and competed in moot court competitions, finishing as a Finalist her first year. Prior to joining Cap City Law, Lisa interned in both civil and criminal law settings, and is barred with the Tulalip Tribal Court where she participated in tribal public defense.

Community Service

During law school, Lisa worked with the Tulalip Tribal Court and helped individuals with little means obtain legal advocacy when faced with criminal charges. She also assisted in pro-bono youth in need of care cases in the Muckleshoot Tribal Court. Before law school, Lisa volunteered with the First Tee Program and helped young children learn both the game of golf and the valuable lessons of honesty, integrity and respect that the sport entails.

Fun Facts

While at Saint Martin's University, Lisa was a four-year member of the Women's Varsity Golf Team and still actively enjoys playing golf and participating in small, local tournaments. Lisa is also an outdoor enthusiast who recently completed her first triathlon, well on the way to her goal of one day completing a full-length Iron Man.
