Michael W. Montgomery - Olympia, WA

Michael Montgomery has been a part of the Law Offices of Harold D. Carr since 2005, but transitioned to the role of attorney more recently. He received his law degree from Willamette University College of Law and was admitted to the Washington Bar in 2011.
Even before attending law school, Michael knew that he wanted to help people who had been injured by the negligence of others. He began working at the Law Offices of Harold D. Carr in 2005 as a legal assistant and IT support. While working at the firm, he developed a passion for individual rights and the rewarding feeling that comes from helping people in their time of need.

This passion guided him to Law School where he developed skills essential to representing people in their personal injury claims . Michael’s legal education included competing in trial competitions, serving on the Moot Court Board, and taking courses in Dispute Resolution, Negotiation , Mediation, Arbitration, and Civil Litigation.

While at Willamette, Michael competed in local trial and negotiation competitions, and also represented the school at regional and national competitions.

Michael graduated from Willamette in 2011, not only receiving his Juris Doctor, but also earning a Certificate in Dispute Resolution and was elected into The Order of the Barristers.

Michael’s return to the Law Offices of Harold D. Carr in 2011 is a welcome homecoming. Not only will it allow him to learn from the years of experience brought by the other attorneys in the firm, but will also bring to the firm a fresh enthusiasm and new perspective on advocacy.
