Ms. Swope served as a law clerk to the Honorable John C. Coughenour in the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Washington. She also served as a law clerk to the Honorable Robert E. Cowen of the U.S. Court of Appeals, Third Circuit. Ms. Swope has represented a variety of clients in matters involving trademark, copyright, and patent litigation, as well as internet issues, misappropriation of trade secrets, unfair business practices, satellite signal theft, employment, and contract actions.
