Overview
Michael Frye's practice is devoted to litigation, with emphasis on employment discrimination cases, general civil litigation, and workplace injury claims against employers under West Virginia's "deliberate intent" statute.
Michael was born in Huntington, WV and received his bachelor's degree in Communications from Marshall University in 1988. After graduating from the University of Kentucky College of Law in 1998, Michael joined Jenkins Fenstermaker where he was a litigator until 2004. Michael then entered private practice in Kentucky until pursuing public service as an Asst. Commonwealth's Attorney prosecuting major felony cases. In 2015, Michael returned to his hometown and Jenkins Fenstermaker where he represents employers, corporations and similar defendants throughout West Virginia and Eastern Kentucky.
Michael has litigated numerous cases to successful conclusion and has prosecuted numerous appeals, including the presentation of oral argument before the Kentucky Supreme Court and Court of Appeals, the Ohio Court of Appeals, and the West Virginia Supreme Court of Appeals. In addition to trial experience, Michael has developed the skills necessary to successfully resolve cases through dispostive motion briefing, mediation, arbitration and settlement negotiations.
Michael is admitted to practice in West Virginia and Kentucky, as well as, the United States District Courts for the Southern District of West Virginia and the Eastern District of Kentucky. Michael is also admitted to practice in the US Bankruptcy Court for the Eastern District of Kentucky. Michael is a member of the West Virginia and Kentucky Bar Associations.
