Overview
Sarah Walling joined Jenkins Fenstermaker in June 2010. Sarah focuses her practice in the areas of labor and employment litigation, insurance coverage and defense, and construction claims. She represents insurance companies and their insureds, employers, and corporations throughout West Virginia and Eastern Kentucky. Sarah has won summary judgment numerous times on complex insurance coverage issues and claims against public entities and elected officials in both state and federal courts. She has also defended cases at all stages of the litigation process and participated in mediation to obtain favorable, cost-effective results for her clients.
After graduating from the University of Texas at Austin in 2000, Sarah worked at Gracy Title Company, a Stewart Title Company affiliate located in Austin, Texas, where she assisted with the real estate closing process and issuance of title insurance for both residential and commercial properties in a rapidly expanding market. Sarah uses the knowledge and experience she gained with Gracy Title to clear title defects, defend against insurance claims, and solve legal issues that arise during eminent domain proceedings.
As a resident of Huntington, West Virginia, Sarah is active in many civic organizations. She is a Past President of the Cabell County Bar Association and the Junior League of Huntington. Sarah currently serves on the Board of Directors of the Ronald McDonald House and TEAM for West Virginia Children. She is the Vice-Chair of the Insurance Subcommittee of the Defense Trial Counsel of West Virginia and is on the Steering Committee for the Defense Research Institute's Product Liability Committee.
