Hired Attorney 2022j tim s will lie to you tell you what you want to hear, steal your money and set you up by leaving you to plead gulity to crimes that you didn't commit, then he will abandon you!! he he is a liar, a theif, and he is greedy, a "true" "con artist " to protect his reputation with his fellow men, the judges! he will also write you a nasty letter saying how he helped you, he did no wrong, and everything is your fault & you did something wrong! thats the lies he tells himself, he helped you and everything is your fault! keep your $2000,00 flatfee in your pocket! you will never see your $$$$$ again, your hard earned $$$$$ will be in his bank account... don't hire this man under any circumstances!! hes not for you, thats how he makes his living, lying, stealing & cheating from you! he's greedy!! i did not want to give him no stars!!

Hired Attorney 2017-2019This lawyer never followed up with my case after Covid hit. I am deeply disappointed how he kept my 2700 fee and nothing ever happened with my case. The worst lawyer I have ever dealt with in my lifetime of lawyers. I had rights to my grandchild which was filed in court and he never followed thru. Would never recommend him to anyone.

Hired Attorney 2019-2020Had signed a contract to pay him 500 down and 250 a month, kept that agreement for three months until I asked him how much would the rest of the divorce cost and he promised 3500, so I gave him 4500. Add that all up and it comes to 5750 and divide that by 250 and you have 23 months that were paid. He put in a notice of withdrawal because he couldn't ethically take more funds from me after already taking that much, claiming that I wasn't upholding my monetary obligations of our contract. Fails to respond to emails, late to court, doesn't ever remember who hes talking to, even if hes the one who reached out. Failed to notify me as my counsel that admittance was submitted, almost making me miss the 30 day deadline. Luckily I called a competent lawyer and he looked through the system for free. Needs to be barred from practicing law.

Hired Attorney 2019This guy could not even do a simple power of attorney and I will. I had to go to him three times for the paperwork to be done correctly. Every time I call and talk to him he didn’t know who I was.

How do I choose a lawyer?
Consider the following:
- Comfort Level – Are you comfortable telling the lawyer personal information? Does the lawyer seem interested in solving your problem?
- Credentials – How long has the lawyer been in practice? Has the lawyer worked on other cases similar to yours?
- Cost – How are the lawyer's fees structured — hourly or flat fee? Can the lawyer estimate the cost of your case?
- City – Is the lawyer's office conveniently located?
Not sure what questions to ask a lawyer?
Here are a few to get you started:
- How long have you been in practice?
- How many cases like mine have you handled?
- How often do you settle cases out of court?
- What are your fees and costs?
- What are the next steps?
Want to check lawyer discipline?
It is always a good idea to research your lawyer prior to hiring. Every state has a disciplinary organization that monitors attorneys, their licenses, and consumer complaints. By researching lawyer discipline you can:
- Ensure the attorney is currently licensed to practice in your state
- Gain an understanding of his or her historical disciplinary record, if any.
- Determine the seriousness of complaints/issues which could range from late bar fees to more serious issues requiring disciplinary action.
