Overview
Jonathan grew up along the Eastern Shore of Mobile Bay and attended high school at McGill-Toolen in Mobile. His legal career began while attending law school at Ole Miss. He worked as a clerk for the Federal Defenders Organization for the Southern District of Alabama and for a civil firm. After graduating from law school Jonathan spent a year working as an associate for a general practice. In 1998 he opened his own firm primarily handling criminal cases. In 1999 Mark Deakle, Jubal Hamil and he formed DSH.
Since forming DSH Jonathan has handled wrongful death cases, collisions, industrial accidents, work place injuries, industrial accidents, co-employee liability cases, retaliatory discharge and premises liability cases. Although based in Mobile, he litigated cases across Alabama and Mississippi.
Representing the working people of Alabama and Mississippi has long been Jonathan’s passion. He takes pride in handling difficult cases against obstinate insurance companies.
