Marc was very helpful during one of the most difficult and stressful parts of my life. He was tenacious in his efforts to fight for the well being of me and my family. If you find yourself in need of an advocate for your cause and a champion for your rights you would be hard pressed to do better than Marc June. His paralegal Walt is always available and helpful, and Marc is always willing to give it to you straight so that you don't have unrealistic expectations. Marc & Walt were there for me and my family after I sustained a horrific injury commercial fishing. As a result of their tireless effort we were able to secure a sizeable settlement. Which has given us the security we need moving forward with my changed reality. If you have been injured at sea due to poor seamanship or improper and unsafe rigging. I recommend you call the law offices of Marc June today:)

On Thanksgiving weekend of 2015, my husband and I were involved in a serious automobile accident when a driver in a rental car ran a red light and hit us. Although we both walked away from the accident, two days later my husband was admitted first to the ER and then to the hospital for a "brain bleed". After a 5 day stay, he was released, only to be readmitted 2 days later for cranial surgery and another 5 day stay. Almost immediately I began to get calls and messages from insurance companies and from Medicare. They asked questions that I was unsure how to answer and with the medical bills piling up and worry over my husband's health as well, I felt the stress building. After several sleepless nights, I asked a friend who is an attorney to recommend someone to help me. He told me that Marc June has an excellent reputation among his fellow lawyers for this sort of problem. When I called Mr. June, he didn't immediately seize on us as new clients. He told me to worry first about getting my husband's medical problems under control and then to call again if I was still of the opinion we needed help. His calm and professional reassurances that I did not need to immediately make decisions and sign agreements, no matter what I was being told by others, allowed me to take a deep breath and think more clearly. We did retain Mr. June and have been grateful that we did so. All through 2016, he has guided us through the intricacies of dealing with government agencies and insurance companies and has reached a settlement for us that we feel is fair and justified. We have no hesitation in recommending his legal services.

Marc June was my attorney for eight years, as we battled a liable parties insurance company through three jury trials and two appeals to the Alaska Supreme Court. Throughout the extremely difficult and tryingly tedious legal process, Marc provided sound council, unwavering support and eventually championed my case to a fair and equitable resolution. Mr. June went far and above any expectations I held prior to my civil case and he continued to do so year after year as we worked together toward a resolution. I would recommend Mr. June to anyone involved in a civil lawsuit, as he could not have done a better job with my case than he did.

How do I choose a lawyer?

Consider the following:

  • Comfort Level – Are you comfortable telling the lawyer personal information? Does the lawyer seem interested in solving your problem?
  • Credentials – How long has the lawyer been in practice? Has the lawyer worked on other cases similar to yours?
  • Cost – How are the lawyer's fees structured — hourly or flat fee? Can the lawyer estimate the cost of your case?
  • City – Is the lawyer's office conveniently located?

Not sure what questions to ask a lawyer?

Here are a few to get you started:

  • How long have you been in practice?
  • How many cases like mine have you handled?
  • How often do you settle cases out of court?
  • What are your fees and costs?
  • What are the next steps?

Want to check lawyer discipline?

It is always a good idea to research your lawyer prior to hiring. Every state has a disciplinary organization that monitors attorneys, their licenses, and consumer complaints. By researching lawyer discipline you can:

  • Ensure the attorney is currently licensed to practice in your state
  • Gain an understanding of his or her historical disciplinary record, if any.
  • Determine the seriousness of complaints/issues which could range from late bar fees to more serious issues requiring disciplinary action.
