The Crider Law office handled my divorce. As is often the case, the relationship with my ex-wife deteriorated profoundly. When I was referred to Crider office by our employee assistant program, I was in deep pain, confusion and disappointment. My marriage was fairly long and I loved my wife and family life. I was clinging to the chance that a tiny spark remained and that spark could turn to flame. In our initial meeting, Mr. Crider was understanding and listened with heart and head. He engaged his right-hand support Kelly – who is wonderful, fantastic and full of heart and humor. When I mentioned joining a support group, she encouraged me to join it. The approach to the divorce they took was eminently fair. Brad and Kelly helped me appreciate fundamentally that when children are involved, the goal of a divorce is not about getting even. It is about the well-being of the children. Also important is redeeming my capacity to be whole and integrated to live and love again. From working with Brad and Kelly, I came to realize that I should comport myself during the divorce and hearing in such a way that I would not be ashamed of reading the transcript of the case years later. More importantly, I am not ashamed or embarrassed of my children reading the transcript when they get older. In that spirit, they advised me to make fair offers to my wife – which she refused. In the end, she should have accepted my offer because it was more generous than that of the court. So without compromising dignity, I feel vindicated. More importantly, I can continue with rewarding relationships with my children and have a clear conscience.

Brad Crider is the Best Lawyer!! It is my pleasure to introduce Brad Crider, his highly competent paralegal Kelly and extremely professional legal assistant Shelby Beecher. Brad and his knowledgeable team are compassionate and also possess the legal knowledge to navigate you through the stress that is caused dealing with a divorce and the many issues that arise. They eagerly answered all of my questions, helped ease my concerns and did not overcharge me for needles legal fees. Whenever I was scared and even in tears, Brad and his team were always there to comfort me and provide the support I needed. Furthermore, his calm disposition when dealing with me and extensive knowledge of the intricacies of the legal system and his positive relationships with other lawyers and judges led to an amazing outcome. Brad maintains a soothing demeanor with his clients but is extremely assertive in the courtroom and I highly recommend hiring him to represent you.

How do I choose a lawyer?

Consider the following:

  • Comfort Level – Are you comfortable telling the lawyer personal information? Does the lawyer seem interested in solving your problem?
  • Credentials – How long has the lawyer been in practice? Has the lawyer worked on other cases similar to yours?
  • Cost – How are the lawyer's fees structured — hourly or flat fee? Can the lawyer estimate the cost of your case?
  • City – Is the lawyer's office conveniently located?

Not sure what questions to ask a lawyer?

Here are a few to get you started:

  • How long have you been in practice?
  • How many cases like mine have you handled?
  • How often do you settle cases out of court?
  • What are your fees and costs?
  • What are the next steps?

Want to check lawyer discipline?

It is always a good idea to research your lawyer prior to hiring. Every state has a disciplinary organization that monitors attorneys, their licenses, and consumer complaints. By researching lawyer discipline you can:

  • Ensure the attorney is currently licensed to practice in your state
  • Gain an understanding of his or her historical disciplinary record, if any.
  • Determine the seriousness of complaints/issues which could range from late bar fees to more serious issues requiring disciplinary action.
