Hired Attorney 2023-2024This law firm was closed when the lawyer was disbarred and subsequently sued for not paying their bills. Not surprising Lindsay Guthrie worked here, probably where she learned her ways. Lindsay knew her husband impregnated my wife while I was away on temporary assignment and didn't disclose her knowledge of their ongoing affair. Lindsay Guthrie will be occupied caring for the child my wife conceived from her dirty pecker husband in t minus 24 weeks.

Hired Attorney 2024I have collections from Lindsay E Guthrie Esq but I never hired her. I've never had legal issues in my life. I contacted her firm who hung up on me. Don't hire this scammer

Hired Attorney 2023-2024Lindsay Guthrie will not be rehired, even if there are no other candidates available. Initially hired to manage corporate bankruptcy filings, Lindsay proposed alternative methods to address our financial challenges. She indicated a close partnership with her father-in-law, a certified public accountant, to rehabilitate our financial image, offering a glimmer of hope for our business's survival. However, a year later, we discovered ourselves in a more precarious financial position, with unexplained debts owed to unknown creditors. When confronted about the new delinquent accounts on our credit report, Lindsay ghosted me. Upon reaching out to her father-in-law CPA she mentioned, he promptly disavowed any connection to or awareness of our circumstances before abruptly terminating the conversation. Now, we must engage a different attorney to oversee the bankruptcy process and dissolve the corporation due to the mounting debts we attribute to Lindsay. Hiring Lindsay turned out to be a regrettable decision, necessitating additional expenses to rectify the aftermath of her actions.

Consulted Attorney 2023-2024This lawyer placed a collections account on my credit claiming I owed her thousands of dollars for services that were never rendered. I never used Attorney Lindsay E Guthrie, never heard of her. I never received a bill or past due notice. Placing a debt on someone's credit that they do not owe is illegal debt collection practices. This POS lawyer who I never met or entered into any sort of contract with damaged my credit score and my reputation.

How do I choose a lawyer?
Consider the following:
- Comfort Level – Are you comfortable telling the lawyer personal information? Does the lawyer seem interested in solving your problem?
- Credentials – How long has the lawyer been in practice? Has the lawyer worked on other cases similar to yours?
- Cost – How are the lawyer's fees structured — hourly or flat fee? Can the lawyer estimate the cost of your case?
- City – Is the lawyer's office conveniently located?
Not sure what questions to ask a lawyer?
Here are a few to get you started:
- How long have you been in practice?
- How many cases like mine have you handled?
- How often do you settle cases out of court?
- What are your fees and costs?
- What are the next steps?
Want to check lawyer discipline?
It is always a good idea to research your lawyer prior to hiring. Every state has a disciplinary organization that monitors attorneys, their licenses, and consumer complaints. By researching lawyer discipline you can:
- Ensure the attorney is currently licensed to practice in your state
- Gain an understanding of his or her historical disciplinary record, if any.
- Determine the seriousness of complaints/issues which could range from late bar fees to more serious issues requiring disciplinary action.
