Born and raised in Arizona, Jonathan Roeder is a founding partner of The Valley Law Group and a passionate advocate for those facing the complexities of family law, criminal defense, and personal injury cases. With deep ties to the Arizona community, Jonathan understands the unique challenges of families and uses his extensive experience to guide clients through some of life’s most difficult moments.
Jonathan earned his bachelor’s degree in political science from Pepperdine University in Malibu, California, in 2006. He then pursued his legal education at Western Michigan University- Thomas M. Cooley Law School in Lansing, Michigan, where he was awarded his Juris Doctor in 2011. After graduating from law school, Jonathan joined the faculty of Grand Canyon University in Phoenix, teaching courses for working adults in subjects ranging from writing to legal and justice studies. This dedication to teaching shows in his practice today, as Jonathan believes in empowering clients with knowledge, making sure they understand every step of their case.
In his family law practice, Jonathan works tirelessly on behalf of his clients, addressing issues such as divorce, property division, spousal and child support, and child custody and visitation. His experience extends to drafting and reviewing prenuptial and post-marital agreements, as well as advocating for grandparents’ visitation rights, paternity disputes, and domestic violence cases. He has also assisted numerous clients in modifying or enforcing existing parenting or support orders and mediating financial and child custody disputes after marriages or relationships have ended.
