    Hired Law firm 2008-2015
I’ll be copying and pasting this review on every platform I can find to share my story about what Matt Schultz did to my life. With a quick search of your name on the internet I'm pleased to see karma is serving you right with all your fines and suspensions. All the documented accusations Mr. Schultz has accumulated within his career consistently demonstrate the repulsive person he truly is. As a child, 12 years ago, Matt proudly defended my father, a child abuser. He willingly manipulated my case for years with lies, deceit, and false evidence in defense of an unfit parent and at the expense of a young child's welfare. What kind of man, especially with a daughter of his own, can sleep at night knowing he fought to have physical evidence of child abuse dismissed from a case? How would you react if that was your own daughter and someone disregarded her like you did me? You're a monster and you're sick in the head. Children are not just case files and your reckless actions have lasting impacts. Your negligence could have cost me my life and your existence and practice is pathetic. I have since changed my last name and completely removed myself from all association with my father as soon as I was legally allowed; yet the damage Matt facilitated will forever remain. I was robbed of a healthy and happy childhood by him and I am now dedicating my life to a career in law to represent children and fight to make sure what was done to me is not done to another child. I never had a voice in court but I do now. If only there were words to describe the kind of vile person this man is.

    Consulted Law firm 2021
In my experience, Attorney Matthew Schultz is one of the most dangerous, deceptive, dishonest individuals practicing law today. His repugnant behavior, willingness and deliberate filing of false statements and refusal to correct the record is in contradiction to his obligation to operate truthfully and in good faith. A cursory search of his name through the Arizona State Bar website reflects repeated ethics violations, that are extremely alarming! The Arizona Rules of Civil Procedure (Rule 11) and A.R.S. 41-328 apparently mean absolutely nothing to him if they do not serve his agenda. Beware and do your research before you hire Attorney Schultz.

This person claims he "Consulted Law Firm in 2021", which is a false statement. This person is a disgruntled opposing party in a case who doesn't know or understand the law; and as a result of his own actions in court, didn't like the outcome of the case. As in most cases, disgruntled opposing parties lash out and make false statements about the opposing party and opposing counsel. This is a perfect example of that. It is unfortunate, because if people like this had an understanding of their behavior, they wouldn't have been put in the position they are in.

How do I choose a lawyer?

Consider the following:

  • Comfort Level – Are you comfortable telling the lawyer personal information? Does the lawyer seem interested in solving your problem?
  • Credentials – How long has the lawyer been in practice? Has the lawyer worked on other cases similar to yours?
  • Cost – How are the lawyer's fees structured — hourly or flat fee? Can the lawyer estimate the cost of your case?
  • City – Is the lawyer's office conveniently located?

Not sure what questions to ask a lawyer?

Here are a few to get you started:

  • How long have you been in practice?
  • How many cases like mine have you handled?
  • How often do you settle cases out of court?
  • What are your fees and costs?
  • What are the next steps?

Want to check lawyer discipline?

It is always a good idea to research your lawyer prior to hiring. Every state has a disciplinary organization that monitors attorneys, their licenses, and consumer complaints. By researching lawyer discipline you can:

  • Ensure the attorney is currently licensed to practice in your state
  • Gain an understanding of his or her historical disciplinary record, if any.
  • Determine the seriousness of complaints/issues which could range from late bar fees to more serious issues requiring disciplinary action.
