Consulted Attorney 2019Kristian H. Salter, ESQ. attorney at law. (Criminal Defense amongst various practices) @ The Law Office of Rubin Salter Jr. Mr. Kristian H. Salter, ESQ. Has beyond exceeded my every expectation and concern that I maintained throughout the entirety of our crucial, however, unscheduled and untimely consultation. My immediate sense of his integrity and willingness to assist me; on his rare vacation day taken unfortunately while I was in desperation mode. Was simply outstanding. Literally above and beyond! As I am beyond flustered. I am rambling on about unnecessarily important details and life story. Mr Salter, calmed me, brought me back to a level of prevalence. He notified me to give him a couple hours max, in order to take another actual paying clients call on his personal cell phone. He gave me his word that he’d get back to me in a couple hours max and look up an review some details of my case. I asked about any actual cost’s and financials as to all of his guidance and retaining his council? Only to have him utilize his resources, team, experience, respect, etc. within an hour he touched base with me 2x and offered the type of supporting instruction, I was looking for and needed! He didn’t ask for anything but for me to have the best luck and rep well. He was sincere throughout every bit of our correspondence and I hope if I am faced with further stages of this unfortunate mishap, that he will be available to represent me regardless what the price!

How do I choose a lawyer?
Consider the following:
- Comfort Level – Are you comfortable telling the lawyer personal information? Does the lawyer seem interested in solving your problem?
- Credentials – How long has the lawyer been in practice? Has the lawyer worked on other cases similar to yours?
- Cost – How are the lawyer's fees structured — hourly or flat fee? Can the lawyer estimate the cost of your case?
- City – Is the lawyer's office conveniently located?
Not sure what questions to ask a lawyer?
Here are a few to get you started:
- How long have you been in practice?
- How many cases like mine have you handled?
- How often do you settle cases out of court?
- What are your fees and costs?
- What are the next steps?
Want to check lawyer discipline?
It is always a good idea to research your lawyer prior to hiring. Every state has a disciplinary organization that monitors attorneys, their licenses, and consumer complaints. By researching lawyer discipline you can:
- Ensure the attorney is currently licensed to practice in your state
- Gain an understanding of his or her historical disciplinary record, if any.
- Determine the seriousness of complaints/issues which could range from late bar fees to more serious issues requiring disciplinary action.
