Hired Attorney 2024-2025I would not trust Ben Catterlin to represent you in AR court. He lied to us when we hired him, stating we had a stand your ground defense. My husband & I both hired him to defend us, navigate through the system and he told us we would not go to jail. We paid $10,000 on time and never missed a payment. But we did however fill out a check in the office that they claimed was filled out improperly and they threatened to discharge us as clients, which was disrespectful & wrong. Immediately we rectified that with cash. He was totally uncommunicative even when asked a direct question after we questioned whether he could fire us. Postponed 3x and when asked about court proceedings he replied that it was legal arguments. No explanations at all. It was like he knew what he was going to do from the beginning. Steal our money and do no work on our case. I texted him 10 days before trial date asking to meet because he would put us off by saying closer to trial date we would discuss further. He texted me back stating judge wanted us in court in two days for legal arguments... scary & frustrating! We went to court to separate cases and then 5 days before trial date he meets with both of us. We had 2 days to make a decision to plead and we really didn't have any option because he wouldn't call witnesses for our defense or plan a defense for us at all. He actually told us we had to lie to get the plea deal. Beware of wolves in sheep's clothing.
