Hired Attorney 2025-2026Jocelyn lives up to the claim on the Sicat Law website that she is a zealous litigator. She has helped me with multiple cases and, more importantly, getting them dismissed. I have a very colorful driving record, largely due to my lead-foot and driving fast cars, but there were two cases in the same year where I knew that there was no way I was at fault, and she proved it for me in court. Both cases were won without the hassle of running around to gather evidence, call insurance companies, or going back and forth to the courthouse. My cases have usually been very complex and they took a lot of research and time, and that's where Jocelyn and her team shine. If you're dealing with an every day speeding ticket, I'm sure they'd offer to help you there too because the whole team is courteous, and they show that they care through every conversation. When life throws you a lemon, and you think this case is the worst thing that's ever happened to you, I can boldly say with confidence that Jocelyn and her team at Sicat Law will be there to get your back, defend you, but also put your mind at ease as best as possible for your situation because they genuinely care about you as a person. The reason Apple and Amazon were the first trillion dollar companies in the history of mankind was because they obsess over customer experience. Nothing could be more true about Jocelyn and her team at Sicat Law. They obsess over your case to help you win!

How do I choose a lawyer?
Consider the following:
- Comfort Level – Are you comfortable telling the lawyer personal information? Does the lawyer seem interested in solving your problem?
- Credentials – How long has the lawyer been in practice? Has the lawyer worked on other cases similar to yours?
- Cost – How are the lawyer's fees structured — hourly or flat fee? Can the lawyer estimate the cost of your case?
- City – Is the lawyer's office conveniently located?
Not sure what questions to ask a lawyer?
Here are a few to get you started:
- How long have you been in practice?
- How many cases like mine have you handled?
- How often do you settle cases out of court?
- What are your fees and costs?
- What are the next steps?
Want to check lawyer discipline?
It is always a good idea to research your lawyer prior to hiring. Every state has a disciplinary organization that monitors attorneys, their licenses, and consumer complaints. By researching lawyer discipline you can:
- Ensure the attorney is currently licensed to practice in your state
- Gain an understanding of his or her historical disciplinary record, if any.
- Determine the seriousness of complaints/issues which could range from late bar fees to more serious issues requiring disciplinary action.
