    Consulted Attorney 2024
Watch out for Attorneys who claim they fight for discrimination, retaliation, wrongful termination in a workplace, and disability discrimination. This Attorney never talked to me for more than 3 min and sent an email saying " I will not be able to assist you." He never investigated the case, he never spoke with witnesses or read their statements and he never looked at all of the paperwork that would have shown him a way to help. He has no idea what I've been through nor the work that was put into protecting and standing up for myself in the situation. Wrong is wrong no matter how long you've worked at a job and no matter how much you made while you were there. What he says he fights for on his website, is not to help cultured citizens who are considered to be black. It's just really disturbing that we have this kind of bad character Attorneys who don't care what has happened to you even if you died behind it. To him it's ok that you have been assaulted or discriminated against and will rub it in by saying, he can't help. It makes you now know why some who have no resources for help unfortunately take matters into their own hands. Attorneys like Greg A. Klawitter are part of the problem and have been for a long time by all means. Don't be fooled by his record because it's broken. We need Attorneys that will work for all humans, not just some. I knew better but wanted to see for myself. Be careful because he will tell his Attorney friends not to help you as well.

When viewing a listing, consider the state advertising restrictions to which lawyers and law firms must adhere, as well as our FindLaw.com Legal Directory disclaimer. Some lawyers publish comparative information regarding the services that they provide which may be subject to specific comparative communications restrictions.

How do I choose a lawyer?

Consider the following:

  • Comfort Level – Are you comfortable telling the lawyer personal information? Does the lawyer seem interested in solving your problem?
  • Credentials – How long has the lawyer been in practice? Has the lawyer worked on other cases similar to yours?
  • Cost – How are the lawyer's fees structured — hourly or flat fee? Can the lawyer estimate the cost of your case?
  • City – Is the lawyer's office conveniently located?

Not sure what questions to ask a lawyer?

Here are a few to get you started:

  • How long have you been in practice?
  • How many cases like mine have you handled?
  • How often do you settle cases out of court?
  • What are your fees and costs?
  • What are the next steps?

Want to check lawyer discipline?

It is always a good idea to research your lawyer prior to hiring. Every state has a disciplinary organization that monitors attorneys, their licenses, and consumer complaints. By researching lawyer discipline you can:

  • Ensure the attorney is currently licensed to practice in your state
  • Gain an understanding of his or her historical disciplinary record, if any.
  • Determine the seriousness of complaints/issues which could range from late bar fees to more serious issues requiring disciplinary action.
