Attorney Information
Overview
Noah Gaarder-Feingold is a business attorney whose practice focuses on advising entrepreneurs and private companies on general corporate matters and strategic transactions. His practice includes entity formation and reorganization, corporate governance, debt and equity financings, in-licensing and out-licensing agreements, asset purchase agreements, and mergers and acquisitions. Noah’s goal is to serve his clients not only as an attorney but also as a trusted business advisor and partner.
Noah grew up in Solana Beach and Del Mar where he fostered a love of the ocean and of learning. It was these two loves that influenced Noah to attend UCLA: he could surf Malibu and study at a renowned university. At UCLA, Noah received a Bachelor’s of Arts in Film and was a founder of the UCLA Surf Team, an academic tutor to student athletes, and an avid fan of UCLA basketball and football. He decided to attend law school because every class he took at UCLA, whether it was the science of climate change, the political theories of John Locke, or the art of screenwriting, invoked the law and considered its impact.
Noah graduated summa cum laude from the University of San Diego School of Law. During law school, Noah served as a research assistant, a teaching assistant, and the Executive Comments Editor of the San Diego Law Review. His paper on the Second Amendment was published in the San Diego Law Review in 2019.
Before Coast Law, Noah worked for one of the largest law firms in the US where he represented biotechnology companies in venture financings, initial public offerings, and strategic exits. Noah joined Coast Law in 2023.
Noah lives in Del Mar and enjoys spending time with family, surfing, and reading The New Yorker.

How do I choose a lawyer?
Consider the following:
- Comfort Level – Are you comfortable telling the lawyer personal information? Does the lawyer seem interested in solving your problem?
- Credentials – How long has the lawyer been in practice? Has the lawyer worked on other cases similar to yours?
- Cost – How are the lawyer's fees structured — hourly or flat fee? Can the lawyer estimate the cost of your case?
- City – Is the lawyer's office conveniently located?
Not sure what questions to ask a lawyer?
Here are a few to get you started:
- How long have you been in practice?
- How many cases like mine have you handled?
- How often do you settle cases out of court?
- What are your fees and costs?
- What are the next steps?
Want to check lawyer discipline?
It is always a good idea to research your lawyer prior to hiring. Every state has a disciplinary organization that monitors attorneys, their licenses, and consumer complaints. By researching lawyer discipline you can:
- Ensure the attorney is currently licensed to practice in your state
- Gain an understanding of his or her historical disciplinary record, if any.
- Determine the seriousness of complaints/issues which could range from late bar fees to more serious issues requiring disciplinary action.
