0.5 out of 5 stars

As prestigious as they appear, they seem they are not as such. Major flaws with regards to thier duty to the clients THEY choose to represent. After getting the contract signed, we never seen a person from this firm again. Spoke to mr.Dunn 3 times but never regarding anything related to facts of the case. He preceded to file a motion to be relieved as counsel and did it a few weeks before the cutoff for discovery after having out forth zero effort to working this case. All this was 8 months after he basiclly told the other side that he was doubting the facts of the case and planned to file an motion to be relieved. (Jan 2018) we were served on Thursday before labor day. His motion basically made the case look horrible to the point where we could not get any lawyer with experiance in these types of cases to represent my brother in his lawsuit. Finally we found a lawyer who took on the case with no experiance in the realm, and between the excellence of the lawyers questions amd the truth in my brothers account of the incident, my brother won his lawsuit. However a experienced trail attorney could have made the pain worth the process as the award was not enough to make up for the injuries sustained snd it all could have been avoided by a professional approach to cases which you wont get here. How do I choose a lawyer?

Consider the following:

Comfort Level
- Are you comfortable telling the lawyer personal information? Does the lawyer seem interested in solving your problem?

Credentials
- How long has the lawyer been in practice? Has the lawyer worked on other cases similar to yours?

Cost
- How are the lawyer's fees structured - hourly or flat fee? Can the lawyer estimate the cost of your case?

City
- Is the lawyer's office conveniently located?

Not sure what questions to ask a lawyer?

Here are a few to get you started:

  • How long have you been in practice?
  • How many cases like mine have you handled?
  • How often do you settle cases out of court?
  • What are your fees and costs?
  • What are the next steps?

Want to check lawyer discipline?

It is always a good idea to research your lawyer prior to hiring. Every state has a disciplinary organization that monitors attorneys, their licenses, and consumer complaints. By researching lawyer discipline you can:

  • Ensure the attorney is currently licensed to practice in your state
  • Gain an understanding of his or her historical disciplinary record, if any.
  • Determine the seriousness of complaints/issues which could range from late bar fees to more serious issues requiring disciplinary action.
