"Today is the fifth anniversary of receiving the verdict from my trial with Mr. Breiter, so what better day to write a review! Seven and a half years ago, many aspects of my life changed in an instant. I was struck on the head by an unsecured pilates reformer board while simply shopping at a clothing sample sale at a pilates studio. I didn't "pass out" as many expect one would from being struck on the head. At the time, I actually thought I was fine and proceeded to drive home and continue on with my day, only thinking that I had some neck pain. As the week went on, things got a bit worse. I was diagnosed with a concussion the next morning and proceeded to go downhill as the week continued. My husband watched me as I was unable to care for my three kids and didn't know what to do. Concussions were unchartered territory for us so he called an old friend Brian Breiter for guidance. Brian wouldn't give my husband, Adam, any legal advice at all even though that's his area of expertise. He said there wouldn't be any discussion of legal terms until we figure out my medical situation as health comes first. He advised Adam to get me to the ER where then I was advised to go to a neurologist. **This was the first of many times Brian and his group put my health and my medical care far above anything else.*** It was December and we all know how difficult it can be to get a doctor appointment at any time, let alone the holidays. Brian and Mark helped me get a neurologist appointment right away when any other doctor we called couldn't see me for months. For over two years, from the first neurologist to other neurologists to psychologists and more, Brian helped me get appointments with doctors who gave me answers when it seemed as if sometimes, it was hopeless. He encouraged me to keep trying to get better when I just wanted to crawl into bed and give up. He helped me see that things will continue to get better when I felt myself falling back down. When he didn't have the answer I was looking for, he reminded me that it was probably time for me to go back to the doctor (I'm not usually a person who goes to the doctor often!). More often than not, he would make me laugh when I wanted to cry. Most importantly, Brian was always there with a gentle reminder that this can be a long process and not to give up. That's just a part of what Brian did, he really did focus on my health first- because that's the kind of person he is. But the reality is, you are probably reading this review because you are interested in him as an attorney and this is where he shines above all. We attempted several times to settle with the defense to no avail. Brian tried very hard to work with the other side to come to reasonable terms but throughout the entire process, that never happened. After three failed mediations, and listening to Brian's advice, we ended up going to trial. I was nervous heading into court but it turns out there is no one else I would rather have by my side during this entire experience. In the courtroom, I sat with Brian Breiter, Jeff Twomey, and Steve Hoffman. Mr. Twomey is a very impressive young attorney with a great career ahead of him. Mr. Hoffman blew me away with his medical knowledge and his ability to depose and cross examine the medical experts in the case. He could "out-doctor" any doctor on the stand! Mr. Breiter kept the entire courtroom engaged, entertained, and informed during the entire six day trial. His opening statement and closing argument solidified why he's considered one of the best. The jury, with only a short two hour deliberation, unanimously sided with us and awarded us more than ten times the amount that the defense ever offered in any mediation. I would never want to go through this again, but IF I HAD TO, I'D WISH FOR THE SAME DREAM TEAM OF BRIAN BREITER AND HIS OFFICE"

Verified ClientHired Law firm 2022-2025My wife and I were riding our bikes when she hit a hard-to-see pothole on a poorly maintained street. Since that day, her life — and as a result, mine — has completely changed. We spoke with many attorneys, but Brian and his team truly stood out from everyone else. Throughout the entire process, while we waited for trial, they kept us informed and reassured. After a short period of trial preparation, we received a settlement offer. Brian recommended that we accept it, and we decided to trust his judgment. My wife wanted a fair resolution, and I wanted to make sure she received the most she could for everything she has endured. Brian and his team were not only diligent and professional but also genuinely fair and compassionate. They worked hard to negotiate and reduce the medical and other fees so that my wife could receive a settlement she truly deserved. A great team of respectful professionals — I would recommend their firm to anyone who has been injured and needs trustworthy representation.

Verified ClientHired Law firm 2022-2025In 2022, I was riding my bike and woke up in the hospital. The city tried to cover their tracks and patched up the hole in the street the very next day. My husband called a bunch of lawyers and set up meetings all over town. Everyone wanted to take my case, but we went with Brian and his team because, right from the beginning, I could tell they were professional, kind, and genuinely felt bad for what had happened to me—ruining my face and causing a traumatic brain injury due to the city’s negligence. A couple of months ago, we started preparing for trial, and the level of attention to detail from Brian and his team was incredible. We were in constant communication, and I always felt comfortable asking any questions. I had a wonderful meeting with Jon and Annie that made me feel completely ready for trial. Thankfully, we didn’t even have to go to court, as the city offered a settlement. I fully trusted Brian’s advice to settle, and I’m so glad I did. It’s rare to find people who are so hardworking, compassionate, and truly eager to fight for you. Every single person on that team is incredible—I would be ready to go to trial with any of them. Thank you Brian, Jon, Annie, Mark, Tatiana for all your work during these 3 years!

Verified ClientHired Law firm 2023-2025I never thought I’d need a personal injury lawyer until a massive tree limb fell on me in a city park, knocking me unconscious and leaving me with a traumatic brain injury, herniated disc, torn meniscus, and other trauma. From day one, Brian Breiter and Jeff Twomey saw me as more than a case. They understood how the city’s failure to maintain its trees had upended my life, and they treated me with both compassion and determination. Their investigation was meticulous. They brought in arborists, analyzing weather data, and uncovering damning maintenance records. Despite the city offering nothing in mediation and insisting they’d win at trial, Brian and Jeff never backed down. They kept me informed every step of the way and made sure the full impact of my injuries—including cognitive challenges affecting my work and family—was accounted for. The unanimous jury verdict far exceeded my expectations and will help secure my future recovery as well as my family’s future. Just as importantly, I believe their work will drive change in how the city maintains its parks. If you’ve suffered an injury that never should have happened, you want Breiter Law in your corner. They know how to take on giants and win.
