With nearly 30 years of experience, Tre Lovell practices in such areas as business law, corporate law, entertainment, intellectual property, employment and general civil litigation. With a deserved reputation as a top civil litigation attorney, Tre Lovell represents clients not only in California, but throughout the country and worldwide in a variety of matters. His business and commercial litigation practice includes breach of contract, fraud, negligent misrepresentation, intentional interference with contractual relations, defamation, invasion of privacy, conversion, unjust enrichment, unlawful business practices, false advertising, partnership and licensing disputes, among others. Mr. Lovell also represents entertainment industry professionals, including filmmakers, actors, writers, directors, producers, production companies, brands, investors, social media influencers, musicians and others involved in all aspects of entertainment with their disputes. He handles a variety of intellectual property matters, including copyright infringement, trademark infringement, trademark registration/PTO issues, licensing and trade secret litigation, while his transactional practice includes the negotiation, counseling and preparation of various forms of entertainment agreements pertaining to talent, producers, directors, writers, merchandising, royalties, financing, distribution and other above-the-line and below-the-line contracts. His employment litigation practice includes such employment matters as wrongful termination, discrimination, sexual harassment, retaliation, reasonable accommodation, trade secrets violations, wage and hour violations, FEHA violations and related claims.
Mr. Lovell received his B.A. from Pomona College and J.D. at McGeorge School of Law in 1992. He is a black belt in Tae Kwon Do, having been a former instructor and gold medal national champion. Mr. Lovell is licensed in both California and Nevada.
