Barbara is a Senior Attorney in the Trusts & Estates Department at JKZ LLP. Her approach is to help individuals identify their personal goals, and to help develop a plan to protect and preserve their personal choices—through the practice of estate planning, trust and probate administration, conservatorship, guardianship, and special needs planning.
Barbara earned her J.D. from Santa Clara University Law School. She started her legal career as a securities and business litigator with a large Silicon Valley law firm and as in-house counsel for a large Silicon Valley software company. In 2005, after taking time to raise her three children in Los Altos, Barbara joined a boutique trust and estate practice in her hometown of Los Altos. In 2010, Barbara established her own law practice and in 2021, Barbara added a Santa Cruz office to her practice. As a Senior Attorney with JKZ LLP, she continues to serve clients in Santa Clara and Santa Cruz counties, as well as throughout the Bay Area and California.
Barbara is a member of the California State Bar Section for Trusts and Estates. Barbara has also been actively involved with the Silicon Valley Bar Association, where she presented programs, chaired several committees and served as a member of the Board of Trustees. Barbara enjoys writing articles and presenting on topics of interest to Trust and Estates practitioners.
