Attorney Information
Overview
Todd Becker is a California mass tort attorney who has represented individuals, families, and communities in complex, high-stakes litigation for more than 20 years. From the firm's Los Angeles base, his practice concentrates on mass tort and catastrophic-loss matters — wildfire litigation, toxic exposure and environmental contamination, sexual abuse litigation, and wrongful death — on behalf of people whose lives have been upended by negligence or institutional wrongdoing.
Over two decades, Becker has handled cases arising from California for wildfires, landfill and toxic chemical contamination, and large-scale sexual abuse. Among the matters he has been involved in is a $4 billion resolution on behalf of survivors of sexual abuse. (Every case turns on its own facts and circumstances; prior results do not guarantee or predict the outcome of any future matter.)
Becker has been selected to Super Lawyers, named to the Los Angeles Business Journal's LA500, and is a member of the Consumer Attorneys of California (CAOC) President's Club. He also serves on the board of the CAOC Political Action Committee, which supports efforts to protect consumer rights and access to the courts.
Beyond the courtroom, Becker has lectured on international law at the University of Southern California, Georgetown University, the China/US Business Summit, the U.S. Consulate, Sun Yat-sen University (Guangzhou), Tsinghua University (Beijing), and Wuhan Business University. Through decades of professional work and longstanding relationships in China, he has developed strong ties within the Chinese community in Los Angeles, and he regularly communicates directly with clients throughout the course of their cases.
Becker is known for a hands-on, communication-first approach. Rather than burying clients in legal jargon or procedure, he works to get to the core of the problem, set a clear strategy, and stay personally engaged from the first meeting through resolution. He approaches each matter with an emphasis on integrity, responsiveness, and disciplined advocacy — serving not only as litigator but as strategist and advisor for clients facing some of the most difficult circumstances of their lives.
For clients with complex, high-impact cases, Becker brings the experience of an attorney who has handled serious litigation before, along with the personal commitment it takes to help people rebuild and move forward.
