FOLLOWING UP! After speaking with attorney Michael Burgis on Tuesday February 21, 2023, emailed me the statement documents and advised me to edit and sign them even though it stated that I WAS NOT entitled to a back to work voucher. he said that he would continue to fight with the insurance company AFTER my case settles for my voucher (HE THINKS IM STUPID) I know once I sign the statement documents I’m agreeing to EVERYTHING … this is how this attorney plays games with you … so later on I called him back and asked him if he could send me a copy of my PD ( Permanent disability benefits ) went from 5,924.31 in October and now it states I owe 15,950. Four months later… Make it made sense!!!! He then tells me that the he had spoken with the defense attorney and they had agreed to give me the back to work voucher (BUT HE WAS SO ADAMANT THAT THE INSURANCE COMPANY WOULD NOT ) during our early conversation. I told him that I wanted proof of this and I wanted the settlement documents revised by the defense he said that he would mention it in the settlement documents ( NOT THE DEFENSE attorney) RED FLAG!!! and I still did not sign the documents. Nonetheless, the PD benefits spread sheet I received didn’t make any sense. Some pages didn’t have dated only money amounts .. the crazy part of this is he didn’t know the insurance company sent me a benefit print out along with a letter explaining how much benefits they paid me.. SMH… and the spreed sheet is NOTHING like the one I received from Mr. Burgis… SAD!! I will see what happens today and at this point I may just go on Facebook live, instagram etc. with my story I also have ALL of my paperwork documents emails as receipts I pray this doesn’t happen to anyone else. And I just want what’s rightfully mines and move on from this.
