20 yrs ago, I didn’t hv social media. Today I do & I wanna leave my opinion of Mr. Bratton. Bill was recommended by two opposing attys who were fighting their personal case. They said he was very tuff & knowledgeable. So I hired him. As a retired cop, I knew if an atty was competent. Bill didn’t let me down. He was aggressive & very competent. Fast forward to today, my son needed a family attorney. So I immediately thot of Bill. I wanted the best for my son, daughter-in-law & my grandbabies. Good luck son & family. Give them he’ll Mr Bratton 💪

I’m not a typical reviewer, trust me when I tell you.. Bill Bratton knows the law. I tried to divorce my husband in 2018 and phoned Bill Bratton to represent me as he came highly recommended. I did eventually go back home and let Bill know that I would no longer require his services. I feared that if the day came again where I needed help, i was going to be out of luck. Almost exactly to the year, I was finally ready. Even after releasing him, he was so welcoming to me and said that he would represent me. I was elated and relieved as I knew already I would be taken care of. I needed a capable successful attorney that would be gentle with me and firm on the laws of divorce. My husband was less than cooperative and Bill presented the case in a way that defended my best interests. He fought for everything that I was entitled to without wavering. I had a bit of a messy divorce where my husband was not being too kind and Bill was always professional, direct and just an all around nice man to work with. He cared and that was a big plus for me. I cannot express how comfortable he made me feel during such a difficult time in my life. Bill was attentive and made me confident that he understood my position and was entirely sensitive to my unique situation. Anytime I needed to discuss matters, he did not hesitate to get back to me promptly. His communication and explanations of everything was impeccable and precise. He allowed me to understand exactly what was going to happen and took his time to explain all of the details to me when I didn't understand. Couldn't have asked for a better divorce attorney. If you are in need of a Lawyer to handle even the most complicated divorce, you will be in good hands!!

Best decision I made, hiring Bill to help me navigate through my custody and child support case. Bill was referred to me by my fiance'. Bill was the opposing attorney on my fiance's custody case years ago, and even then, he was impressed with Bill's expertise and professionalism. If that's not an impressive recommendation, I don't know what is. Bill and his staff were great keeping me informed of what was needed of me and were quick to respond to my questions. I felt well represented at each of my court hearings. I was very nervous beginning this legal battle, however Bill's experience and confidence put me at ease every step of the way. What was most important to me was that Bill acted in the best interest of my children. I highly recommend Bill and his staff. I referred my nephew to Bill's law firm for his custody case. I'm confident he will be well represented. I highly recommend Bill Bratton if you want the best of the best.

How do I choose a lawyer?

Consider the following:

  • Comfort Level – Are you comfortable telling the lawyer personal information? Does the lawyer seem interested in solving your problem?
  • Credentials – How long has the lawyer been in practice? Has the lawyer worked on other cases similar to yours?
  • Cost – How are the lawyer's fees structured — hourly or flat fee? Can the lawyer estimate the cost of your case?
  • City – Is the lawyer's office conveniently located?

Not sure what questions to ask a lawyer?

Here are a few to get you started:

  • How long have you been in practice?
  • How many cases like mine have you handled?
  • How often do you settle cases out of court?
  • What are your fees and costs?
  • What are the next steps?

Want to check lawyer discipline?

It is always a good idea to research your lawyer prior to hiring. Every state has a disciplinary organization that monitors attorneys, their licenses, and consumer complaints. By researching lawyer discipline you can:

  • Ensure the attorney is currently licensed to practice in your state
  • Gain an understanding of his or her historical disciplinary record, if any.
  • Determine the seriousness of complaints/issues which could range from late bar fees to more serious issues requiring disciplinary action.
