I received a traffic ticket that threatened to add 2 points to my DMV record. As a commercial Class A truck driver, I was worried about my insurance rates going up and my job. Attorney Welch advised me to complete a defensive driving course and submit proof of completion. Mr. Welch then was able to actually speak directly with the officer who wrote my ticket, presenting evidence of my efforts to improve as a driver. His proactive approach resulted in the ticket being completely dismissed—no points on my record! I am incredibly relieved and grateful for the outstanding service provided by Welch Law Firm. If you're in Placer County and need help with a traffic ticket, I highly recommend them. Thank you!

Dominick Welch recently defended my friend’s case all the way to trial and beat the entire case. After a 3 day trial we received all NOT GUILTY VERDICTS on all 10 counts for a complete acquittal of all charges. Mr. Welch presented the facts in a professional, educated manner and worked tirelessly to prove her innocence. This was a huge victory because she was facing jail, major fines, and effect on her professional license. I can’t speak highly enough about Mr. Welch. There are so many attorneys out there who just see dollar signs, and milk clients for everything they have. He is not one of those. He has integrity, he’s honest, he’s hard working, and knows the Judicial system. If you need a wonderful, experienced defense attorney, Mr. Welch is who you need!

How do I choose a lawyer?

Consider the following:

  • Comfort Level – Are you comfortable telling the lawyer personal information? Does the lawyer seem interested in solving your problem?
  • Credentials – How long has the lawyer been in practice? Has the lawyer worked on other cases similar to yours?
  • Cost – How are the lawyer's fees structured — hourly or flat fee? Can the lawyer estimate the cost of your case?
  • City – Is the lawyer's office conveniently located?

Not sure what questions to ask a lawyer?

Here are a few to get you started:

  • How long have you been in practice?
  • How many cases like mine have you handled?
  • How often do you settle cases out of court?
  • What are your fees and costs?
  • What are the next steps?

Want to check lawyer discipline?

It is always a good idea to research your lawyer prior to hiring. Every state has a disciplinary organization that monitors attorneys, their licenses, and consumer complaints. By researching lawyer discipline you can:

  • Ensure the attorney is currently licensed to practice in your state
  • Gain an understanding of his or her historical disciplinary record, if any.
  • Determine the seriousness of complaints/issues which could range from late bar fees to more serious issues requiring disciplinary action.
