Hired Attorney 2017-2018Mr. Karalash represented me in a dui case that had dragged out for many months. I was terrified and anxious about the whole process. He was always open, honest and quick to calm me down. This dui had the potential to end my career and significantly impact my entire life. Mr. Karalash took my case on and helped me fight the dmv with multiple phone appts with dmv and my witnesses. He was on top of everything and I felt I was in great hands. The DA would not cut me a plea deal or waiver in any way. So Mr. Karalash was confident about taking my case all the way to trial. Despite DUI cases being impossible to win in a trial, he got me a NOT GUILTY verdict and ALL MY CHARGES WERE DROPPED. I have never seen someone so knowledgeable and skilled in law, he knew every angle to attack and was the best cross examiner I have ever witnessed. He is skilled confident, and experienced. He was a pit bull in that court room and I was so lucky to have him on my side. Do yourself a favor and hire him to represent you for whatever legal issue you are having. He fought for me and for that I will be forever grateful.

How do I choose a lawyer?
Consider the following:
- Comfort Level – Are you comfortable telling the lawyer personal information? Does the lawyer seem interested in solving your problem?
- Credentials – How long has the lawyer been in practice? Has the lawyer worked on other cases similar to yours?
- Cost – How are the lawyer's fees structured — hourly or flat fee? Can the lawyer estimate the cost of your case?
- City – Is the lawyer's office conveniently located?
Not sure what questions to ask a lawyer?
Here are a few to get you started:
- How long have you been in practice?
- How many cases like mine have you handled?
- How often do you settle cases out of court?
- What are your fees and costs?
- What are the next steps?
Want to check lawyer discipline?
It is always a good idea to research your lawyer prior to hiring. Every state has a disciplinary organization that monitors attorneys, their licenses, and consumer complaints. By researching lawyer discipline you can:
- Ensure the attorney is currently licensed to practice in your state
- Gain an understanding of his or her historical disciplinary record, if any.
- Determine the seriousness of complaints/issues which could range from late bar fees to more serious issues requiring disciplinary action.
